Kuol Awan, our executive director, is in Juba, South Sudan. He is currently hard at work making the blocks for the fence that will encircle the future school there. He has purchased 200 bags of cement, one drum of water, three truckloads of sand and two truckloads of rocks.

Thank you so much to all of you who are financially supporting this project. The cost of supplies is very expensive in Juba. It costs $1 to make just one block. Kuol would not be able to work on this project if it was not for all of you. This is the first step in a very long process.

The Lost Boys have a saying: “Education is our mother and our father.” It is time that we bring education to South Sudan to prepare the many young people there for their future. Every dream starts with a first step and looking at Kuol in the photo below shows his dream starting to be fulfilled.
