Kuol Awan, executive director of the Arizona Lost Boys Center, has returned from Juba after being away for six months, and a lot has been accomplished while he was there. A large wall has been built on the land that was purchased by the Lost Boys Center. Kuol is now back at work in Phoenix with the goal of raising money to go directly to building a school on the land inside the wall. Educating young people is Kuol’s main focus, along with training future teachers to educate the South Sudanese leaders of tomorrow. Seeing how poor the quality of education is in South Sudan is an incentive for all of us who have a love for education and children to raise money that will go 100 percent towards building the school.

Here, Kuol shares pictures from his trip.
